Representative Projects helping you imagine the possibilities

Former Chalkline Mill

Anniston, Alabama

Bullock Environmental, LLC has been involved with the former Chalk Line Mill site since July 2009. Bullock developed a cleanup plan for the site which reduced the projected cleanup costs by approximately fourfold from those previously projected. The strategy included risk evaluations considering the end use of the site, coordination with ADEM and EPA representatives, and a more streamlined approach to the analysis of data, regulatory approval, and closure of the site through the Alabama Voluntary Cleanup Program in order to result in a reduction of time and expense associated with additional phases of assessment and cleanup of the property. The site received regulatory closure from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management in July 2010. Following regulatory closure, the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) initiated plans to move their operations to the site. Construction activities for the DHR facility are expected to be complete in early 2012. This development will create a needed element of connection between downtown and West Anniston and will function as an anchor for the remainder of the development, bringing more than 100 employees to the site every day.
